Discussion - EVE / Re: Eve3 built-in fontset
« on: May 08, 2024, 07:59:37 AM »

The image has been magnified to 200% and captured from the ESE.
The upper text is ROM font 34.
The lower text is EAB converted font: Roboto, 94 points, ASTC 8x8 exhaustive.

It is difficult to find any different from these two converted character. The parts encircled in red indicate that the EAB conversion appears slightly better, although this might not be noticeable to the naked eye without zooming in.

*** Extended Font conversion is intended to be versatile and adaptable for various use cases. It may not necessarily align perfectly with the built-in font.

Discussion - EVE / Re: EAB problem with astcenc.exe

Hello,

Can you please try the command line mode by clicking the "Command Prompt" button in the left side panel?
NOTE: Use option -x to specify the path to astcenc.exe

eab_tools img_cvt -i D:/flower-red.bmp -f 15 -o D:/work_space/output -e thorough -x path/to/astcenc.exe

Another way is to check the astcenc.exe supplied by EAB.
astcenc.exe -cl  path/to/image.png  path/to/output.astc 5x5 -fast

Hello,

The frames are extracted from the GIF using FFMPEG internally. FFMPEG duplicates frames within timestamp gaps based on the output frame rate. Adding "-vsync 0" to the FFMPEG command will preserve the original number of frames in the GIF. This fix will be included in the next version, EAB v2.11.

Hello,

Please note that the flash chip can still be accessed for reading and writing even without a blob.
Upon successful erasure, the flash chip will be detected as "Blob is NOT present."
