Discussion - EVE / Re: ESD (4.14.0 / 4.15.0) Bug - WASAPI Buffer Error
« on: April 22, 2022, 02:09:08 PM »
Hello Community,

The prominent scenario on my system appears to be if ESD is open with a project loaded and multiple pages open then the host PC is locked and left for an unmeasured time, upon return and attempt to use ESD either the WASAPI error messages are shown then ESD freezes and ultimately crashes or ESD simply does not respond which leads to the not responding title message and crash.

I have also had scenario's where ESD has been open in the background (with open project) and upon re focus to ESD after other activity (Web, Email, STM32CubeIDE etc) ESD suffers a freeze and crash as above.

Apologies the information is not more specific as I have not been able to spend any significant amount of time testing the various scenarios that lead to the issue other than as stated.

Kind Regards
Darren

Hello Community,

Please would it be possible to confirm if it is possible to modify the Cursor colour as OP question or if this will be modified for future ESD release?

Your experience and knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Discussion - EVE / ESD (4.14.0 / 4.15.0) Bug - WASAPI Buffer Error
« on: April 21, 2022, 08:13:05 AM »
Hello Community,

There appears to be a BUG within ESD experienced both in 4.14.0 & 4.15.0 in that if a project is open and ESD is not used for a period of time or Win10 PC is locked upon accessing ESD again multiple "WASAPI Buffer" errors appear continually in the error window which ultimately leads to ESD 'not responding' and finally crashing :(

If the read online information is correct this appears to be related to an Audio Buffer size (no audio used within project), is it possible to modify this in one of ESD's configuration files or runtime switch to avoid such errors until such time as BT are able to investigate and resolve?

Screenshot included of error message's.

Your experience and knowledge is greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks

Discussion - EVE / ESD (4.15.0) - ESD Utilities -> Switch Bitmap Cell
« on: April 05, 2022, 02:40:30 PM »
Hello Community,

When using the inbuilt library function 'Switch Bitmap Cell' from ESD Utilities the 'Bitmap Cell' parameter drop down list is not populated with available Rescources.

Copying the same function block from ESD WashingMachine example into current project does not suffer any such same issue and the Bitmap Cell paramter is populated as expected.

Your experience and knowledge is greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks

Hello Community,

Working within ESD and specifically user source files it is extreamelly difficult to easilly identify where the cursor is currently positioned due to the dark theme applied and black cursor colour.

Is it currently possible to modify the ESD UI Theme and colours used within any application configuration file as there does not appear to be any settings or menu option to modify by the user?

Your experience and knowledge is greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks

Hello Community,

I have attempted to run the test and the flash binary produced remained at full size. :(

I believe I managed to inhibit the loaded AV for the test altough I intend to run the test on a seperate machine to verify and will report back once complete.

Hello Community,

Does the currently produced emulator executable accept command line arguments to allow passing the Flash package name and if so please would it be possible to share the syntax required?

Kind Regards

Discussion - EVE / Re: ESD (4.14.0) - Emulator Executable (Flash files)
« on: February 22, 2022, 10:54:16 AM »
Hello,

Apologies my original picture was using an included demo hence the FT812, my project uses BT816 ...\Build\VM816CU50A\Emulator_x64_Release\Bin

Including the additonal dll as found at C:\Users\Public\Documents\EVE Screen Designer\Libraries\FT_Eve_Hal\Bin\Simulation\x64 has allowed use of the produced flash package and resolved my original issue.
Would this be something best included automatically when compiling an emulator executable when a Flash package is present?

Additonally does the currently produced emulator executable accept command line arguments to allow passing the Flash package name and if so please would it be possible to share the syntax required?

Many thanks for your assitance.
Darren
