Test and Review Area / Re: EVE Asset Builder 1.6.0
« on: December 12, 2020, 02:01:12 PM »
It is possible that Asset Builder contains some serious file operation issues.

I'm developing an audio player and recently tried to convert a PNG image into a paletted image (Paletted565) if I remember correctly.

I specified my desktop folder as an output folder just to test it quickly, which was a mistake.

The conversion error popped and then some image conversion files appeared with a size of 0 bytes.
But also some of my files on the desktop were deleted, in a completely random fashion (at random locations and random types of files
such as .png .pdf .hs and even a whole folder with different files)

my OS is Windows 7 , EVE Asset Builder version is 1.6.0

This may be because I accidentally selected a "converted" image as an input image
(I previously converted the original image into a RGB565 format and the program outputted some .raw files together with what seems like a copy of the original image, just renamed to "Icon_50x50_RGB565_Converted.png") and I selected this copy as an input image for the conversion, but anyways it should not cause the program to delete random files.

I attached the png image which caused this error (Icon_50x50_RGB565_Converted.png)
and the original image (Icon.png)
Actually I don't remember was it Icon.png or Icon2.png so I attached them both, they are very similar images.

Discussion - MCU / Re: FT9xx Driver problem Windows 7
« on: May 15, 2020, 04:18:36 PM »
It seems like the issue is in windows 7 updates, because it searches for a driver with high RAM (goes to 95%) and CPU usage,
probably KB3102810 update is needed, I will make an update if that solves the problem.

I'm using a custom hardware, also I have purchased a UMFTPD2A programmer and was able to program and run the SD card to USB converter example without any issues.

Discussion - MCU / FT9xx Driver problem Windows 7
« on: April 24, 2020, 08:42:47 PM »
Hello, I'm developing a device with FT930 chip, and run into some driver issues.
My OS is windows 7 64bit, I have downloaded a CDM21228 driver setup file, installed the drivers, but windows can't find any drivers for it automatically.

I tried to install drivers manually, using "CDM v2.12.28 WHQL Certified" files, but
my device PID is not listed in the ftdibus.inf and ftdiport.inf files, so I changed them to match, could you please check these files?(added in the attachment) Maybe I did something wrong.
When I try to install the driver using these files the process begins but it ends with timeout error.

Also, if I change  ftdibus.inf and ftdiport.inf files, the driver signature is not valid, how this issue can be addressed?

I attached a screenshot from usbview program, and a device id from windows device manager.

Thank you.
